He was predeceased by: his parents, Plummer Payne and Ina Payne; his siblings, Floyd Payne, Donna Reynolds and Mary Ann Aldridge; and his close friend Mary Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin "Sock" Payne (Millie) of Rising Fawn, Georgia Linda McMaster of Coulterville, Jeff Payne of Ewing and Anne Fullerton (Mike) of Coulterville, Illinois.; his brother Russell Payne (Martha); and his sister-in-law Delores Payne. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
