He was predeceased by: his parents, James Reilly and Janet Reilly (Duffy); his spouse Ardeth "Ardie" Herron; his aunt Elizabeth "Pete" Wollett (Duffy); and his uncle David Duffy.

He is survived by: his children, John Reilly (Cathy) of Dawson, Pamela Reilly (Michael Alexander) of Yorktown, VA, David Reilly (Lisa) of Kennewick, WA, Christy Reilly Worrell (Fred) of Illiopolis and Patricia Reilly Bramlet (Eric) of Mt. Carmel; his grandchildren, John "Jack" Reilly III, Scott Reilly, Calla Reilly, Emma Reilly, Ashley Reilly Staley (Erin), Dallas Reilly (Jennifer), Leslie Worrell (Alisha), Kyle Worrell, Erica Bramlet and Chase Bramlet; and his great grandchildren, Rowan and Alder Reilly.

Memorial donations can be made to the Illiopolis Summer Recreation Program and the Illiopolis/Niantic Public Library.
