He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Stout and Ruby Huntington Stout; and his siblings, Ed Stout, Mary Scott, Ruth Humphrey, Imogene Williams and Yvonne Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Prester-Stout; his children, Randy (Melinda), Ron Stout, Bettendorf, John Prester and Holly Castens (Troy); his grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Tyler), Dalton Stout (Brittany), Sydney Stout and Skylar Stout; and his great grandchild Holden Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church or retired firefighters of Rock Island.
