With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Veneta Dekeyrel of Illinois City, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Asay and Lillian Asay (Cannam); her husband Paul DeKeyrel; her daughter Janet; and her brothers, Carroll and Marvin Asay.
She is survived by: her children, Harvey DeKeyrel (Janet), Rene DeKeyrel (Donna), Roger DeKeyrel (Priscilla), Bruce DeKeyrel (Lori), Melanie Geertz (Carl), Hope Curry (Jason), Muscatine and Amy Robinson (Tim); and her son-in-law Jeffrey Bennett. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; and her girl, (dog).
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to the Illinois City Cemetery.
