It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Atnip (Illinois City, Illinois), born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on March 21, 2020, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepfather Wayne Mcleod; and his grandparents, Maude Gable and Wallace Atnip. He is survived by: his parents, Sylvester Atnip (Alisa) and Dacy Mcleod (Busby); his wife Brenda Atnip; his children, Tara Schmidt (Ryan), Timothy Atnip and Joshua Atnip; his grandchildren, Payton and Rylee Schmidt; his siblings, Linda Tillman (Joey), Lisa Buffington (Shannon), Mirinda Fulscher (Jeff), Dana Mcleod and Wallace Atnip (Chelsey); his mother-in-law Sandra Stearns-King (David); and his friend Curtis Chipman.
