She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. John Newlin and Susanna "Susie" Newlin (Kinney); her father-in-law Lloyd Schaefer; and her aunts, Mary Jean Richart, Harriet Watts and Nanette Feezle.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Schaefer; her children, Dr. J. William "Will" Schaefer (Korie) and Abby Schaefer (Denver Musgrave); her grandchildren, Madilyn Schaefer, Max Schaefer, Liam Schaefer, Hudson Williams and Harper Williams; her mother-in-law Nan Schaefer; her sisters-in-law, Marcia Philippe, Vickie McDonald and Cathy Harris; and her cousins, Carolyn Woodworth, Techla Stromberg, Kathy Kennedy, Jack Watts and Tim Feezle.
