He is survived by: his mother Barbara Jean Herrin II (Phillips) of Carterville; his wife Angelyn Messick (Kerley) of Hurst; his children, Brooke Hand (Jimmy) of Herrin, Chloe Messick of Hurst, Jaxson Messick of Hurst and Jeremy Taitt of Carbondale; his father Snyder Herrin II (Ivy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his siblings, Kathy Rogers of Carterville, Becky Morgan (Carl) of Waynesboro, Georgia, Andrea Steen of Carbondale, Heather Bostick (Gabe) of Selma, Texas and Greg Herrin (Stacy) of Carterville; his parents-in-law, Donald Kerley (Linda) of Cambria and Norma Kerley of Hurst; his siblings-in-law, James Kerley of Hurst and Gretchen Freeman (Derek) of Hurst; his aunts and uncles, Terry Phillips (Susie) of Petersburg, Albert Phillips (Carol) of Herrin, Marilyn Phillips of Herrin and Sandra Herrin of Carbondale; and his nephew Malik Petty. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; plus a host of dear friends.
