He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Petersen and Jennifer Petersen; his wife Joyce Petersen; his siblings, Edward Petersen (Ruth), Jeanine Petersen, Eleanor Petersen (Earl) and Dolores LaBud (Dennis); and his brother-in-law Glenn Kummerow.
He is survived by: his son David Petersen (Michelle); his granddaughters, Melissa and Cassandra; and his sister Harriet Kummerow. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
