He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara E. Kraus; and his parents, Edward Kraus and Josephine Kraus. He is survived by: his children, Robert Kraus (Janet), Rich Kraus (late Peggy), Susan Kraus and Randy Kraus (Eileen); and his grandchildren, Mark (Kari), Kevin (Melissa), Scott (Stacy) and Jessica (Sean).

In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-194.
