He was predeceased by: his parents, August Porto and Anna Porto; his son Michael Porto; and his sister Anita McDonald (Denis). He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Erickson; his sons, Ron Porto (Abbi Sullivan) and Kevin Porto; his grandchildren, Lauren, Melissa (Hector), Anthony, Ryan, Rebecca and Thomas; his great grandchild Gabriella; his sister Sandra Pellegrino (Virgil); and his sister-in-law Rosemary Hausner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or St. Mary/ St. Vincent DePaul Society.
