He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Torres and Francisca Bernal Torres; his wife Virginia Cerda; his children-in-law, Tom Howard and Barbara Zuniga; and his grandchildren, Debbie Gleeson, Phillip Zuniga and Lisa Towers.

He is survived by: his children, Tony Zuniga, Frances Smith (Richard), Patricia Castro (Hector), Carol Zuniga, Lawrence Zuniga (Kim), Cynthia Estevez (Angel), Jessica Howard, Phillip Zuniga (Carmen), Robert Zuniga and Thomas Zuniga (Peggy). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Vetsroll.
