It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis J. Neven of Huntley, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 24, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Gafner and Mildred Gafner. She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Neven; her children, Jeannine Wentzlaff (Paul), Michael Neven (Lyn), Daniel Neven (Kimberly), Eileen Hurt (Greg) and Scott Neven (Margaret); her grandchildren, Ian, Emilia, Paul, Chris, Tim, Megan, Katie, Kelly, Robert and Ryan; and her brother James Gafner. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

“To my uncle Jack and cousins, We are all sadden by Aunt Phyllis's passing. I have fond memories of her, one of which was every birthday when we were small, she would send a card with a stick of gum taped to the inside. That was truly special and fun. Also when we would visit from California, she always sit with us at the kitchen table and we would look at her photo albums and laugh. Good times. She has a special place in my heart as do you all.
