She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Maurice Howard and Vernadean Howard (Rogers); and her brother Maurice Howard. She is survived by: her husband Alfred; her daughters, Sandra Borhart (Clark), Deborah Johnson (Brett) and Judith Fowler (Jeremy); her grandchildren, Hannah Baczynski (Dan), Joel Borhart (Ashley), Grace Kroll (Kyle), Nicole Reese (Drew), Stephanie Johnson, Alec Johnson (Emily), Delia Weitzel (Peter), Veronica Fowler, Ryan Fowler and Tessa Fowler; her sisters, Jacquie Zerbel (Rick) and Carol Ayres (Jim); and her sister-in-law Judy Howard. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phyllis's name may be directed to the St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
