He is survived by: his son Leland; his wife Audrey Perteete August; his mother Sharon Long; his godchildren, Gideon Wooden-Simmons, Michal Simmons, Aniyah Bates-Davis, Arielle and Khristian Kidd; his aunt Mary Chaffin; his brother-in-law Kevin Perteete; and his parents-in-law, James and Ann Perteete.
