With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Kenneth Larson Jr. of Huntley, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Kenneth Larson Sr. and Lorraine. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bongiorno; his children, Steven Larson (Diane), Dawn Ambrogio (Paul) and Keith Larson (Lori); his sisters, Irene Smalec (late John), Linda Lutz (late Ron) and Nancy Hendricks (Randy); and his grandchildren, Abigail Larson, Aidan Larson, Jonathan Ambrogio, Nicole Ambrogio, Kaitlyn Ambrogio, Allison Ambrogio, Brooks Larson, Colt Larson and Trace Larson.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the DeFiore Funeral Home (10763 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142). A procession was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067). Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 4:00 PM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St Jude Children's research hospital.
