It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph J. Horist of Huntley, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Genevieve; and his siblings, Hilda Radeck, Rosemary Gerhard, John Horist (Marjorie) and Daniel Zwyssig.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rajterowski; his children, Joe Horist (Dolores), Genevieve Strzemp and Regina Jones (Randy); his stepchildren, Adam Rajterowski and Gina Stern (Eric); and his grandchildren, John Strzemp, Jacqueline Strzemp (Joey Miller), Jessica Jones and Amanda Jones.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
