He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Marie; and his brother Charles. He is survived by: his wife Linda Brendel; his children, Michele Mandala, Jennifer Mandala (Steve Rogers) and Jeff Mandala (Judy); his grandsons, Dominic and Vincenzo; and his sister Laura McGuire.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the muscular dystrophy association.
