He is survived by: his wife Donna Sample-Thompson; his children, Julie Shelly (John), Jim Thompson (Denise) and Jason Thompson (Cindy); his stepchildren, Laurie Lee and Frank Schmidt; his sisters, Lois Murowski (late Jim) and Denise Carlen (Rick); his grandchildren, Tyler Shelly, Sonjia Shelly, Courtney Thompson, Gregory Thompson, Trevor Thompson and Haley Thompson; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Lee and Cayla Clark; and his nieces and nephews, Mark Gallo, Cheryl Gallo, Ronnie Gallo, Jolene Bresney, Bradley Buntenbach and Jeremy Belter.
