He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Hermann; his children, Reinhard Pilz (Pamela) and Sabine Kurtzhals (Scott); his grandchildren, Joshua, Cassie Fiore (David), Trevor Kurtzhals (Jenna) and Spencer; his great grandchildren, John and Xander Fiore; and his wife Gerda Sayk.
