It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald B. Knust of Huntley, Illinois, born in Mount Carmel, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Knust and Ruby Kinkade Knust; and his sister Judith Barclay. He is survived by: his wife Melba Myers Knust; his children, Lori Britnell (Patrick) and Brian Knust (Josephine); his grandchildren, Kiley Knust, Samantha Green (Adam), John Heugh (Devon), Craig Britnell and Melissa Ford (Jack); and his great grandchildren, Penelope, Cameron, Rowan, Layla and Bobbie.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Camp I Am Me or the Elgin Retired Firefighters Association.
