Eileen A. Claussen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Eileen A. Claussen (Huntley, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Carey and Miriam Carey; her son Joe Claussen, Jr.; and her sister Sheila Semmer (Greg). She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Lisa Kommers (Adam), Tom Claussen (Anne) and Michael Claussen (Beth); her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Nicholas, Aidan, Violet, Caiden, Ryan, Megan, Teagan and Ben; and her siblings, Kathy Moore (Tom) and Tom Carey (Patti). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Eileen requested that people remember her by making a donation either to the scholarship in her son's name at the University of Notre Dame (The Joseph Claussen Memorial Scholarship Fund - must be noted on the check or donation, Memorial Fund Office of Planned Giving; 1100 Grace Hall, South Bend, IN 46556), or to the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters (https: //http://www.sinsinawa.org). She requested that donation to the Sinsinawa sisters include her maiden name (Eileen Carey Claussen).
