He is survived by: his children, Cherie Rickert (Ed) and Gary Cann (Cindy); his grandchildren, Christopher Rickert (Ginny), Lauren Lambourn (Mike), Johanna Zimmerman (Carl), Alison Kessler (John) and Michael Rickert; his great grandchildren, Kendra, Sam, Jolie, Tess, Alan and Johnna; his wife Miss Joan Smith of Nebraska City, NE; his grandson-in-law John H. Kessler IV; and his great grandchild Kala Kessler.
