With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Hodgson of Hume, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Hodgson and Mary Hodgson (Ridenour); and his siblings, Susie Heil and Joe Hodgson. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hodgson (Rhonda) of Armstrong, Kenny Hodgson (Brandi) of Paris, Janet Haynes (Danny) of Hume and Janice Benner (Bill) of Newman, Illinois; and his sister Ann Lepinski of Waunakee, Wisconsin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Edgar County Shrine Club or to Hume Christian Church.
