It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary D. Cummings of Hume, Illinois, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary D. Cummings to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack L. Cummings and Ileana Mae Cummings (Kinney); his wife Margaret "Peggy" Sanders; his brother Tab Cummings; and his great grandchild Landon Weaver.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Cummings (Becky) of Charleston and Cary Cummings (Jennifer) of Hume, Illinois; and his brother Randy Joe Cummings of Oakwood, Illinois. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
