He was predeceased by: his father Glen Lee Gossett; his stepfathers, Howard Richards and Frank Deffenbaugh; his brother Jerry Gossett; and his niece Vanessa Gossett.
He is survived by: his mother Janice Ann Deffenbaugh (Thomas); his children, Natasha Halimi of Conyers, GA, Tabbatha Madden (Christopher) of Paris, IL, Christopher Gossett of Manteno, IL and Alan Gossett (Amber) of Paris, IL; his siblings, Ivin Gossett (Charlene) of Chrisman, IL, Christy Penrod of Hume, IL and Lisa Gossett of Charleston, IL; and his sister-in-law Shari Gossett. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
