He was predeceased by: his niece Amie Ade; his great-nephew Hayden; and his parents, John C. Vance and Oral Molee Bennett Vance. He is survived by: his wife Betty Vance of Humboldt; his daughter Angie Davis of Humboldt; his granddaughter Angel Jordan of Humboldt; his great grandchildren, Ivy and Elizabeth Jordan; his brother Fred Vance (Jan) of Humboldt; his great-niece Hali; his pet Barney; and his former wife Betty Andres.
