For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Maurer and Ruth Maurer (White); and his brother Ronald P. Maurer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Sylvester; and his daughters, Stefanie Maurer Evans, Ann Maurer Glowacki (Shawn Glowacki) and Kristen Maurer Whitmore (Nelson Whitmore). He is also survived by grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, and precious friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (502 E Front St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maurer Family, Wesley United Methodist Church, or Yosemite Conservancy.
