The passing of Phyllis L. McLeod of Hudson, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 69. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Phyllis leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Phyllis may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Ethel Horne Hovde; her sons, Garry L. Devine (Holly) and Eric Penn; her siblings, Larry H. Swinger and Jorja Wertich; her grandchildren, Alexandra and Aiden Devine; her sister-in-law Cathy Penn; and her father Rieber C Hovde MD. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Normal First United Methodist Church (211 N School St, Normal, IL 61761). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
