With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Orn Whitacre of Hudson, Illinois, born in Flanagan, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Orn Whitacre to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Orn Scott and Ollie Juanita Whitacre (Duckett); his wife Helen Ilene Vandegraft; and his sons, Randy Whitacre and Philip Whitacre.

He is survived by: his sister Margret Joyce Volk of Eureka; his children, Rick Whitacre (Gwyneth) of Hudson and Susan Matthews of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Matthew Davison of Normal, Mollie Webb (Jon) of Wildwood, MO, Andrew Whitacre (Michelle) of House Springs, MO, Christopher Whitacre of Bloomington, IN, Jessica Otto of Danvers, IL and Ben Whitacre (Cori) of Danvers. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
