Thelma Alford Obituary

In loving memory of Thelma Alford of Hopedale, Illinois, who departed this world on December 28, 2024 at the age of 92. Thelma leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Michael J. Wollmann and Estelle Lugibill Wollmann; her husband Neil Alford Jr.; her sisters, Marilyn Scanlan and Theda Wollmann; her niece Jeanne Scanlan; her great-nephew Richard Scanlan; and her brother-in-law Richard Scanlan.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Roy (Rob), Michael Alford (Jodie), Annette Mandock (Rick) and Rich Alford (Amanda); her nieces, Margaret MaGee (Jim) and Mary Scanlan; and her nephew Steven Scanlan (Jeanne). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hopedale United Methodist Church (401 NW Main St, Hopedale, IL 61747). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Hopedale or Hopedale Medical Complex.
