He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Kendall and Rose Louise Waldbesser Bissell Sr.; his brothers, Jerry and Floyd Bissell; and his son Edward "Eddie".

He is survived by: his sons, Andy Jackson (Abby) of Mackinaw and Lowell; his siblings, Bruce Altrum Jr. of Joliet and Judy Hulett of Tremont; and his sister-in-law Vicki Wilson of Creve Coeur.
