He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William and LaFern Arwine Slager. He is survived by: his wife Lois A. Stanley; and his children, Jess Slager (Linda) of Hopedale, Joe Slager (Alice) of Hopedale, Leilani Smock of Hopedale and Sandy Wier (Timothy) of Lincoln. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to his church or Hopedale Rescue Squad.
