He was predeceased by: his son Kyle; and his niece Adrienne Haning. He is survived by: his spouse Carla C. Wurzburger; his daughter Carrie Haning (Gerard Richardson) of Los Angeles, CA; his brothers, Joe Haning (Janet) of Lincoln and Dale Haning (Rose) of Miami; his niece Nicole Haning of Osaka; and also Japan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopedale Medical Complex or Hopedale Fire Protection District.
