It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol J. Maurer (Hopedale, Illinois), born in Melrose Park, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florus Carmean and Buerryl Carmean (Kelly); her husband Ronald Maurer; and her brother Bruce Carmean. She is survived by: her children, David Maurer (Linda) of Carmel, IN and Diane Barber (Tom) of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Jenn, Sarah Gamage (Mike), Elizabeth Barber and Ben Barber; her siblings-in-law, Ben Maurer (Bev) and Bev Carmean; and her nieces, Brenda Dannewitz, Lisa Lampkin (John), Mary Cassell (Mike) and Teresa Simpson (Steve).
