She was predeceased by: her parents, William Combs and Genevieve Combs (Lorimer); and her brother Jefferson Combs. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Richard "Gus" Ruch; her children, Dr. Stuart Ruch of North Adams, Jefferson Ruch of San Antonio, Texas and Mary Ruch-Brown (Robert) of Seattle, Washington; her grandchildren, Chad, Sara, Jakob, Carol, Catherine and Clara; her sister Jane Ferree of Champaign; and her brother-in-law Stuart Ruch of Hopedale.
