Dean Meier Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dean Meier of Hooppole, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Meier (Dersham) and Harold "Tubby" Meier; his siblings, Stan Meier, Lavona Salzar and Richard Meier; and his grandson Brett Meier.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Meier of Hooppole, IL; his sons, Junior Meier (Sharon) of Annawan, IL, Merle Meier (Lori) of Illinois City, IL and Doug Meier (Lisa) of Hooppole, IL; his sisters, Donna May Merema (Ed) of Lyndon, IL, Connie Dennison of Rock Falls, IL and Nancy Hunter (Donald) of Lyndon, IL; and his grandchildren, Tonya Brown (Jeff), Sheri Shaw (Dwaine), Crystal Carrington, Jennifer Harker (Charlie), Benson Meier, Elizabeth Stropes (DeWayne) and Jill Meier. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Harold Dean Meier Memorial Fund.
