He is survived by: his wife Judith Griswold; his children, Teresa Sollars (Pete) of Rossville, IL, Julia Schnieder (Tom) of Holly Springs, NC, Kathryn Ferry (Kurt) of Palatine, IL, Patty Merkin (Graham) of Westmont, IL and William "Bill" Putnam (Kristine) of Deltona, FL; and his brother Robert Putnam (Jean) of Richmond, KY. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 7 nieces and nephews.
