He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Maire, Sr. and Faye Maire (LeConte); his wife Elizabeth A. "Betty" Barteck; and his siblings, Loretta Gulick and Lester Maire, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Tracey Taylor of Danville, IL and Jeff Maire (Deanna) of Covington, IN; his sisters-in-law, Mary Carter of Westville, IL and Wilma Maire of Highland, IL; his grandchildren, Zach Maire and Melissa Smith (Kyle); and his stepgrandchildren, Rebecca and Chris Taylor. He is also survived by six nieces; and four nephews.
