He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Thorn and Thelma Thorn (Parsons). He is survived by: his wife Nancy C. Painter; his son David W. Thorn (Tammy) of Hoopeston, IL; his siblings, Mary Thatcher (John), Ronald Thorn (Cookie) and Claude Thorn, Jr. (Mary); and his grandchildren, Amanda and Cody Thorn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
