He was predeceased by: his parents, Clavas A. Sexton and Myrtle Roach; his wife Linda Carol Wheeler; his son Steven Sexton; and his brother William "Billy" Patrick Sexton.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Sexton of Hoopeston, IL; his granddaughter Linda Louise; and his siblings, Colleen Logsdon (Darrell) of Munfordville, KY, Dennis Sexton (Nellie) of Canmer, KY and Scott Sexton (Sheila) of Canmer, KY. He is also survived by five nephews.
