He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Coon and Leila Coon (Wise); his wife Phyllis Yarno; his siblings, Donna, Jeanie, Don, Jim, Bill and Danny; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Polson and Cecil Burge.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Overlander (Pat) of Hoopeston, IL, Robin Jackson (Frank) of St. Joseph, IL and Joe Coon of Hoopeston, IL; his siblings, Shirley Denney (Erby) of Rossville, IL, Janice Polson of Hoopeston, IL, John Coon (Linda) of Ocala, FL, Alfie Coon (Karla) of Hoopeston, IL and Sammy Coon (Marilyn) of Hoopeston, IL; his grandchildren, Tony Overlander (Lucy) of Hoopeston, IL, Emily Defenbaugh (Chad) of Appleton, WI, Jordan Overlander (Maya Clemmons) of Hoopeston, IL and Matthew Jackson of St. Joseph, IL; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Hudson, Olivia Defenbaugh, Nora Overlander, Quinn and Betsy Overlander. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
