He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Mary Evans (McKercher); his daughter Stanza Norton; his siblings, Shirley Wallar, Janice Jackson, Leeanne Evans and Charlie Evans; and his brother-in-law Pat Stuart.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Wells; his children, Jamee Thrush (Todd) of Vancouver, WA and Gerald "Rodney" Evans (Maureen) of Leroy, IL; his son-in-law Mark Norton of Rossville, IL; his siblings, Carol Weseck (Ted) of Council Bluff, IA, Mariann Stuart of Omaha, NE, Jimmy Evans (Vonnie) of Omaha, NE and David Evans (Judy) of Crescent City, IA; his grandchildren, Masen Norton (Megan), Drew Thrush, Camden Thrush and Adam Norton; and his great grandchildren, Masie and Weston Norton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
