He was predeceased by: his parents, Date A. Houmes and Mary Houmes (Tilton); his wife Edith; and his son Dan V. Houmes. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Gayle Karen Rush and Date A. "Chip" Houmes (Cindy); and his daughter-in-law Sandy Houmes. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; one step-grandson; two step-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
