He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Obenland and Laura Obenland (Philps). He is survived by: his children, Ginger Bertram and Rob Obenland (Tanya); his grandchildren, Zane Obenland (Gabby), Marissa Obenland, Laura Obenland and Megan Bertram; and his great grandchildren, Eleanor Reeves and Maci King. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
