It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Pearl Leemon of Hoopeston, Illinois, born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cheville Elliott and Ruby Elliott (Rowe); her husband Charles B. "Chuck" Leemon; her son Scott Leemon; her son-in-law Kevin Payne; her grandson Bruce Leemon; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Elliott and Bill Leemon; and her nephew Robin Elliott.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Louise Barten of Hoopeston, IL, Peggy Winzenburger (Gary) of Washington, MO, Linda Payne of Tarpon Springs, FL and Charles E. Leemon (Dixie) of Hoopeston, IL; her daughter-in-law Janet Leemon Woolley (Rodney) of Rensselaer, IN; her brother Edward Cheville Elliott of Pinckney, MI; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Sanders of Hoopeston, IL and Eileen Leemon of Hoopeston, IL; her grandchildren, John Barten (Karen), Jeff Barten (Cathy), Laura Leemon, Adam Winzenburger (Sarah), Steve Winzenburger (Katie), Matt Payne, Cody Leemon (Jessica), Wes Leemon (Dani) and Clint Leemon (Desirae); and her great grandchildren, Hayes Scott Leemon, Scarlett Leemon, Noah Barten, Isabella Leemon and Sophie Leemon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
