He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ed, Kathy Langellier of Milford and Doris Slayton; and his great-aunt Joni Kleinert. He is survived by: his parents, Angela Raef of Kentucky and Dawayne Slayton of Chicago; his aunt Aimie Dines of Danforth; and his cousins, Aiden Dines of Danforth, Renee Lee of Arkansas and Sara Wiley of Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in order to help offset funeral and cemetery expenses.
