Vernon Duncan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2023, at the age of 99, Vernon Duncan (Homewood, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean; his parents, Violetta Duncan and Benjamin Duncan; his son Douglas; his brothers, Bill (Mary Jane), Chet (Patricia) and Bob; and his siblings-in-law, Pete, Jerry Teichgraeber, James Buchanan, Robert Myers and Eunice Teichgraeber.
He is survived by: his children, David (Sandra), Donald (Cynthia) and Judy (Chris Darby); his sisters-in-law, Torchy Duncan, Janet Buchanan, Judy Myers and Jeannie Teichgraeber; and his cousin Deana McClure. He is also survived by seven grandsons, eight granddaughters, six great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Vern's life may be given to The Chicago Lighthouse, 1850 West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL (312) 666-1331 or St. Andrew UMC.
