He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Brown and Elisabeth Brown; his sister Carol Simac; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Simac and Karen Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Brown; his children, Molly Westerhoff (Corey), Patrick and Amy Vander Weit (John); his grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Zachery, Riley, Gavin, Milo and Lila; and his siblings, Thomas and Edward Brown.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
