He was predeceased by: his parents, Erich and Kathinka. He is survived by: his cousin Ernest; his wife Joanne (Decker); his children, Linda Mathias Kaskel (Bruce Kaskel) and Larry Mathias (Sue Haas Mathias); his granddaughters, Beth Kaskel (Michael O'Neill) and Julie Mathias (Nick Meyer); his great grandchildren, Mason and Florence O'Neill; his cousin Sidney Mathias (Rita); and his sister-in-law Ruth Berman (late Barry Berman).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shir Tikvah (1424 183rd St, Homewood, IL 60430).
