He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patrick and Catherine Coghlan (Lyons); and his siblings, John P. Coghlan, James L. Coghlan and Mary Lucille Coghlan.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Cannon; his daughters, Susan (Hugh Cotter), Lisa (Paul Dolan) and Laura (Ric Bianchi); and his sister Catherine "Tis" Cook of Reston, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
